A bit about us....
The Tatsfield Singers have been together since 2009 originally under the tutelage of Graham Dinnage, and Alex Deterding joined in 2010 as a rookie but enthusiastic conductor, (her words!). Alex took a sabbatical in 2014 and we were very lucky to find Sarah Coop who was our musical director until Christmas 2017. Summer 2018 our repertoire was chosen by the singers as being their favourites from Alex’s years with us and was produced by Alex.
We are now planning our Christmas concert with our new music director Sarah Fryer and we hope she will direct us in our joint venture with North Downs Sinfonia sometime in the future.
Currently 40 strong we come together simply because it is joyful to sing with others. Our repertoire covers a wide variety including classical, pop, jazz and world music. We comprise people of all ages with the complete spectrum of musical experience, from none to loads. Although most of our members come from the village of Tatsfield, we also have singers coming from further afield and we welcome anyone who just loves to sing and laugh.
We produce two shows a year, June and December (and there are absolutely NO auditions).
In February 2018 we joined forces with North Downs Sinfonia to become Music in Tatsfield in order to become a good cause as part of Tandridge Together Lottery.
